Viedoc supports nurses on World Health Day

Every year, the World Health Organization (WHO) sponsors global health awareness through World Health Day. Each year since 1950, a different theme is celebrated to draw attention to an issue of importance. This year's theme is to highlight the contribution of nurses and midwives.

Accounting for approximately 59% of health professionals, nurses are vital to global health and research. Viedoc Technologies wants to say thank you to all the thousands of nurses who use our system every day, as well as the countless others caring for those in need.

Nurses are on the frontlines.

Now more than ever, nurses are needed to keep our healthcare systems running. A report by the WHO released today on the state of nursing in 2020 credits nurses with ensuring safety and quality patient care. The report also speaks of nursing roles in 21st century health systems and their importance in infection-prevention and control among the many other essential aspects of nursing.

Even in the best of times, nurses are key players in healthcare and data collection. Today, nurses are more invaluable than ever, playing a pivotal role facing the pandemic head-on as part of healthcare teams across the globe.
